How do you find digital collections? By listening to faculty.  Here are some lessons learned from trying to identify projects:

  • Faculty need help understanding the importance of digital collections
  • Attending faculty presentations is a great way to discover what kind of data is collected
  • Be persistent
  • Timing is important
  • Mass emails or calls for propsals are not effective; 1:1 conversations are
